We had a lovely time at Duchal Lodge! This was our second time at the Lodge! This time we took our dog with us, for her it was also great, a Nice, big and secure garden for her to play in and great walks in the Area. Margaret & James are very good hosts, the welcome pack is very Nice, lots of home baked goodies! We are going back next year!

Five stars! This is a lovely place to stay. A truly idyllic rural location and very comfortable and well appointed accommodation. The views from the lodge patio are wonderful and it was so lovely to be able to sit out at any time of day and just relax. We Had a wonderful time. Margaret was amazing and met us with freshly baked goods that were really delicious and as it was easter she had bought my 2 small children easter eggs and a welcome basket, very thoughtful. The lodge was cosy and the wifi excellent as we had to work at points , the hot tub was great as it was inside a conservatory, so no pRead moreroblem with the ever changing weather and the highland cows were also amazing. The garden was fully enclosed for our dog which felt very safe and the lodge was in a lovely peaceful location as we were looking for a quiet escape from city life and it was exacty that. This was lovely place to stay. Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. The location has plenty of walks in its surroundings and was a quiet peaceful location. Also not too far from Glasgow. The host Margaret was very welcoming and friendly, and her array of baked goodies were very tasty. We would love to return and stay again.

This is a great lodge, in a lovely quiet location not too far from shops. It is clean, modern and all you need to feel at home. The owner Margaret met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome and left tasty home baking, sweet snacks and a bottle of wine, which is a very nice touch. A truly comfortable, homely cottage with friendly owners who checked in to ensure everything was perfect. The location is greatjust 20 mins from stunning trail walks. The garden and hot tub were perfect for us and our dog, and the delicious baked goods were a lovely bonus. We couldnt have asked for a better stay!

Had a great stay! Only 30 minutes from port of Glasgow, or Glasgow even, also only 3 miles from town overall. Can see the farm animals all day from the comfort of the accommodation or on the patio. Great facilities for cooking and day to day use. Fantastic welcome hamper from Margaret, she was a great host

What a lovely place Duchal Lodge is. An inviting, comfortable property. We were given a warm welcome by the owner, who supplied us with lots of home baked goodies. A lovely secluded cottage, much bigger than we expected from the pictures! Everything we needed was already there, and the baked goodies were delightful. The heighlnd coos come right up to your door, and really set the scene for a serene experience.

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped holiday home with very friendly, accommodating owners. No hesitation in recommending to others and would stay again. A really peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable holiday deep in the countryside amongst nature but all amenities within easy reach.

This lodge is the first lodge we've stayed in and it was really good, plenty of space with the patio and grass areas which you can close gates on if you want to restrict dogs from chasing kids footballs! When we arrived, Margaret left a welcome basket with homemade goodies....special mention about the lemon drizzle cake....it was unreal! The Lodge is nicely decorated and clean. The surroundings are unreal with gorgeous views! The highland cows are gorgeous and our dog loved watching them.

The lodge is on its own on Margaret and Jamess farm, the sheep are in the fields surrounding the lodge which makes it an idyllic setting, this was perfect for us, allowing us both to fully relax knowing our dog Rocky wouldnt disturb anyone else.
