This wooden holiday lodge enjoys an idyllic setting within a peaceful 23-acre Coombe Meadow private estate, home to its own resident deer park. Younger guests will love getting involved in the morning feeding run and meeting some of the estate’s smaller animals. One of five similar properties, this property provides flexible accommodation for a larger group or family keen to explore the unspoiled North Cornwall countryside. You’ll be right on the edge of Bodmin Moor, a designated Dark Sky area that’s perfect star gazing. Follow the Camel Trail (1 mile), an 18-mile former railway line offering excellent walking and cycling through quiet countryside, toward Padstow, a fishing town. St Breward (1.5 miles) has a traditional pub, café and historic church, while the village store in St Tudy (3 miles) is handy for holiday essentials. Photogenic Blisland (3 miles) is known for its attractive village green and pub serving excellent local ales.

Inside, high ceilings and a contemporary finish give the lodge a bright and airy atmosphere. Prepare and eat meals in the large open-plan living area, which includes a spacious kitchen and dining area. You can also relax by the warming wood burner and watch films on the Smart TV. The ground floor has a flexible bedroom with a king-size zip-and-link bed that can be made into two small single beds on prior request, along with a quad bedroom with four single beds. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC completes this level. Head upstairs to find the master bedroom, a king-size bed with its own en-suite shower room and WC.

Outside, the property has a large private garden and an enclosed decked area with seating, giving families plenty of space to enjoy the fresh air. The decking overlooks the estate’s main car park, where private parking is available for two cars. From there, it’s just a ten-second walk along the path to the front of the lodge. Across the wider grounds, guests can discover rivers, lakes and paths, as well as a wildlife trail, welly walk and fairy garden. Adults can work out in the indoor gym or soak up the peaceful surroundings, while the estate’s fishing areas, barbecue facilities and animal activities offer even more ways to enjoy time together.
